This gaiden is called Episode 00, the chapter that happens just before the first chapter of the manga, Episode 01, meaning, it's about Ion and Anise's departure from Daath together with Jade to deliver the letter of peace from Emperor Peony the Ninth to King Ingobert the Sixth.
